The Basics
What is PAT testing?
Portable Appliance Testing identifies electrical faults before they cause harm. It helps show that appliances are being looked after and are safe for staff, guests and customers.
And yes, PAT testing is a bit of a repeated phrase, because the T already stands for testing. The name stuck.
After testing, every appliance receives an ID label with the test date and engineer details. You also receive certification and a full appliance register by email or hard copy.
Plug and fuse check
Fuses are verified, loose wiring is corrected, and damaged plug tops can be replaced.

Appropriate electrical tests are completed for the appliance class and environment.
